By lifting of sanctions on Iran, world’s great airlines announced their interest in starting direct flights to Tehran again. On the other hand, new Iran airline will become operational in the country by next April, too. The new airline will be called “Tehran Air” and will be equipped with 11 aircraft: four Airbus 340 and seven Airbus 321 planes. Here are names of world’s great airlines returning to Iran:
Airbus Jets, Iran to Buy 114 One
Iran has agreed to buy 114 Airbus Group SE aircraft for state carrier Iran Air. The deal includes a mix of new and used jets from the A320 family and the out-of-production A340s. The first deliveries are due as early as July.
Also the next project is buying Airbus wide-body planes including A350s and the A380 double-decker as it seeks to add destinations in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe to directly serve the Iranian population scattered there rather than connecting through Dubai or Istanbul hubs.
Lufthansa Airlines Airlines Returning to Iran; Flights from Munich to Iran
In the coming summer flight schedule, Lufthansa will once again fly direct from Munich to Tehran, starting in April. The connection with flight number LH 602 begins 14 April 2016, and will depart three times per week at 22:10 from Munich, reaching the Iranian capital at 5:20 in the morning. The Airbus A330-300 offers Lufthansa guests a selection from one of four classes with the latest cabin equipment, including 21 Premium Economy seats.
With the new connection, the Lufthansa Group complements its daily offering with a Boeing B747-400 from Frankfurt.
For cultural travellers Iran will become increasingly interesting as well,” said Thomas Klühr, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board, Finances & Hub Munich. The flight route between Munich and Tehran was previously offered between April 2004 and the summer of 2006. A return flight to Tehran can be booked for as little as 429 Euros.
Austrian Airlines; Flights from Viena to Iran
Austrian Airlines is keen on expanding its flight service to Iran, offering extra weekly flights to Tehran from the summer of 2016. Speaking in a press conference, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines Andreas Otto said the company is also interested in launching a direct flight between Vienna and the historical province of Isfahan in near future.
‘In light of the removal of sanctions and the growing demands of the Austrian people, the airlines is set to increase its direct flights to Iran’ he added.
