Khojir national park with an area of 10013 hectares stands at East side of Tehran, near another famous national park which is Sorkhe Hesar. Khojir national park is one of the oldest protected areas in Iran since 1983 and because of its distance from Tehran; it remains intact in comparison to similar national parks. It is greatly considerable in terms of biodiversity and ecological values. The major portion of this territory is a base for immigrant birds during winter.
Access to this park can be gained from the Khojir and Qasr-e-Firoozeh Roads.
Drive from Tehran to Khojir (38 KM) for the daily tour.
By a few hours’ walk one can not only see a collection of plants and animals, but also a great view of Mount Damavand, the highest mount in Iran. Variety of flora and fauna specious are available here.
