Geographically, the plateau of Iran embraces the most scenic deserts on Earth. The Lut Desert (UNESCO) and the central Desert or Dasht-e kavir are two main hyper-arid regions due to adjacency to subtropical belts. They are notable for a rich variety of spectacular desert platform caused by long periods of strong winds. Though much of the desert are inaccessible and naturally protected due to extreme heat and lack of water, you can find the trace of settlements and villages going back to 7000 years ago on the edges of the deserts. Thus Persian ingenuity have innovated special lifestyles and architecture elements like Kariz (or Qanat: a chain of underground canals for leading water) registered as UNESCO heritage site.
Join us in Iran Desert tours to explore the desert, spend some nights in the land of stars and hear the legendary tales from local inhabitants with an experienced well-spoken tour guide and suitable transportation. In this tour we aim to highlight the unique desert’s landscapes along with visiting the nearby cities whose arid climate influenced their architecture and culture. To customize the tour according to your request, please contact our professional team via E-mail or phone.
