| Day 02 | Teheran Today we have a light day so that we can get some sleep and rest. We will visit two of the Pahlavi Dynasty Palaces: Sa’dabad Palace , and the winter Palace of Nierevan. then visit the Crown Jewels Museum to marvel at the Peacock Throne of the Shah & his other brilliant treasures (Subject to opening rules). | Day 03 | Tehran / Tabriz A short flight to Tabriz , center of Azerbaijani culture in Iran , an oasis at the foothills of Mt. Sahand , a silent volcano! Afternoon a visit to the “BlueMosque” known for its splendid tiles. We explore the Azerbaijan Museum with its ethnographical , archeological and historical sections. Following you will visit Arg-e-Tabriz , the 14th Century citadel. Time to stroll the 15th-century covered bazaar. Tabriz. |
| Day 04 | Tabriz/Caspian Sea This morning , we depart to the Caspian Sea region. A stop at Ardebil will include the Mausoleum of Sheikh Safi Ardebil , one of the finest historical examples of Persian art.. Then we proceed to Bandar Anzali , one of the most important Iranian ports on the Caspian Sea. Bandar Anzali. |
| Day 05 | Caspian Sea/Ramsar Today , we depart southwards on a scenic route to the picturesque town of Masuleh , perched on a steep mountainside and surrounded by dense forest. After exploring the town , continue along the Sea to the coastal town of Ramsar. |
| Day 06 | Ramsar/Teheran Today is a leisurely drive across the beautiful Alborz Mountains to Teheran. Arrival in the afternoon. Teheran |
| Day 07 | Teheran/Yazd Your day will start off with a visit to the Glass & Ceramics Museum , housed in a beautiful building then on to the Archaeological Museum with its fine collection , including the stone capital of a winged lion from Susa and the 6th Century BC audience hall relief of Darius The Great from the Treasury at Persepolis. In the afternoon , a short flight will take us to Yazd. Overnight Yazd |
| Day 08 | Yazd Morning tour of Yazd' s Zoroastrian heritage. With 60 , 000 of them still living around Yazd , we visit their Tower of Silence , their Fire Temple where the burning flame is said to have been burning since 470 AD. Walk the city’s old section with its mud-brick houses and wind-towers. Afternoon , depart to Kerman. On arrival , immediate transfer to Bam (3 Hrs drive). Overnight at Arg-Bam hotel. |
| Day 09 | Bam/Kerman Today we visit Bam , a medieval red-clay city which was inhabited until the early Qajar period. The citadel of Bam is the largest clay structure in the world. See the merchants’ houses , baths and deserted shops. After lunch , we return to Kerman via Mahan , final home of the Sufi saint and poet Shah Nematollah Vali , a founder of a Dervish order still active in today’s Iran , who died in 1431. His tomb is a masterpiece of Persian architecture , nestled amidst peaceful gardens filled with fountains. Kerman. |
| Day 10 | Kerman/Shiraz Today , we enjoy a spectacular drive , departing Kerman to Shiraz , a land of mountains and deserts having a beautiful nature setting. We will make ample iran_travel_hotel_visa_tour_irantravelingcentergraphy stops along its gorges , creeks , valleys , salt lakes and fig plantations. En route we visit Sar'vestan ‘s remains of the 5th century Sassanian Palace. Shiraz. |
| Day 11 | Shiraz Today we visit Fars Museum , an octagonal pavilion built by Karim Khan and housing historic artifacts relating to the province of Fars. Continue to visit the Eram Garden , the tombs of Saadi and Hafez- two of the most famous Persian poets- , then the Mosque of Nasiro-el-Molk and Afif-Abad Garden. After lunch we continue to see the church of St. Simmon the Zealot and the shrine of the 9th century martyr “Shah-Cheragh” , one of the most important Shiite shrines in Iran , and finally , the traditional bazaar. | Day12 | Shiraz Free day to relax , shop at the bazaars or exploring the old town on your own |
| Day13 | Persepolis/Isfahan Not far out of Shiraz , we visit Persepolis , ancient Parse , the capital of Darius the Achaemenid , with its audience hall of 100 columns and relief's showing the guards: the 10 ,000 immortals. Construction started under Darius The Great in 521 B.C Its unmatched splendor still evident today , despite the ravages of foreign invaders and centuries of exposure. Then we continue to visit the monumental fire sanctuary containing the carved tomb of Darius I and three of his successors , the 8 Sassanian rock relief's at Naghsh-e-Rostam and the 4 beliefs at Naghsh-e-Rajab. Continue to the earlier city of Cyrus the Great at Passargade and visit the simple but majestic tomb of Cyrus before returning to Shiraz for transfer to the airport for our short flight to the legendary city of Isfahan. | Day14 | Isfahan Another highlight of Iran. It claims to be the city of gardens and palaces , and was founded during the 16th century AD. Perhaps the most beautiful of all Iranian cities. The central focus of this fascinating city is the immense Royal Square , enclosed by double-storied arcades. Jewels of Safavid architectural adorn the square. Visit the mosques of Sheikh Lotfollah , with its superb faience tile-work ceiling. Then visit Imam mosques , with its Mongol influence over Persian architecture. Then visit the Palace of 40 columns to marvel at its walls , paintings , frescos and wooden ceilings. And finally visit Aliqapu Palace. Overnight at Isfahan. |
| Day15 | Isfahan Another day enjoying the Pearl of Persia: Isfahan. We will drive by some of its ancient stone- arched bridges from the Sassanid and the Seljuk periods. Drive to the Armenian quarter , which was set at the time of Shah Abbas as a colony for Christians. Visit 2 of its churches. Time in the afternoon to explore the bazaar and shop for carpets , copper and antiques. Isfahan. |
| Day16 | Isfahan/Kashan An easy drive today will take us to Kashan. This city is the epitome of everything grand from the old Persia; its mosques , caravansaries , gardens & homes. We will stop at Boroujerdi & Tabatabaie houses , then at Fin Gardens and finally at Agha Bozorg Mosque. Kashan. |
| Day17 | Kashan/Teheran Today we drive to the Shrine of Fatima in Qom , the second most important Shiite shrine in Iran; then to the tomb of Ayatollah Khomeini. Overnight in Teheran. |
| Day18 | Teheran We leave the hotel around 3.00 am for our early flight departing Teheran. |
